All schools will also dismiss 2 hours early on Wednesday (11/26)
Just a few short weeks ago, #SCCSD North High student Legend Campbell organized a school supply drive to support district families. He partnered with the Sioux City Public Schools Foundation and Sioux City Musketeers on a campaign called Hockey and Helping Hands, collecting dozens of needed supplies. Legend proved you can accomplish great things when you put your mind to them. 👏 👏 👏

Today during PD, we had some awards that needed to be given out and recognize some staff members that have been going above and beyond for our students.
Our September Staff Member of the Month: Ethan Sorenson. Ethan has been working, entirely on his own accord btw, on the weekly sport reports that we sent out, they have been a great source of recognition for our students.
Our October Staff member of the Month: Leslie Prieto Velasco. Leslie is one our secretaries here at North, she is our main source when we want to communicate with our parents and students through various channels and her bi-lingual skills help build a bridge for our Hispanic families.
Our November Staff Member of the Month and Gold Cone Recipient: Michael Amman. Michael is always willing to help staff and students and is consistently providing students with fun and engaging lessons that encourages them to learn and interact in his classroom.
